At St. Helen Catholic School, our Kindergarten program offers a nurturing, faith-filled environment where children build confidence, explore their interests, and develop the skills needed for lifelong learning.
  • Full-Day Program: Guided by a full-time teacher and supported by a half-day aide, students enjoy a balanced day filled with engaging lessons, creative activities, and hands-on learning.
  • Faith in Action: Students participate in daily prayers at the start and end of each day and attend weekly Mass alongside their 8th-grade buddies, fostering mentorship, community, and spiritual growth.
  • Age Requirement: Children must be 5 years old by September 1st to enroll in Kindergarten.
  • Academics: Our curriculum follows California Common Core standards and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), focusing on early literacy, math, science, and social-emotional skills. Students also take the STAR Early Literacy assessment to monitor progress and ensure each child is supported.
  • Uniforms: Wearing the St. Helen school uniform helps build pride, unity, and a sense of belonging in our school community.
