St. Helen School is committed to providing a quality academic program that provides for the continued spiritual, intellectual, social, physical, psychological and moral growth of all its students. St. Helen School follows the guidelines set forth by the State of California and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Teachers follow the state standards and the archdiocesan guidelines in forming a comprehensive curriculum map for each subject at each grade level.
Students receive grade appropriate instruction in Religion, Math, Language Arts (reading/literature, English/grammar, writing, vocabulary, spelling), Social Studies, Science, Physical Education, Art, Music and Computer/technology.
Students that need extra help or want to enrich their academic program are encouraged to take advantage of the daily tutoring and enrichment classes after school.

St. Helen School offers a full day (7:45am - 2:45pm) Kindergarten for students five years of age (See admissions/enrollment page). Our full day Kinder program allows students and teachers the additional time necessary to enrich and expand on the core curriculum. Curriculum includes Religion, Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, Physical Education, Art, Music and computers. Kinder students also participate in All school Friday Masses, prayer services and all school events and activities. For most activities and events the Kinders join their eighth grade buddies to provide extra support for our Kinder students.
